Summer Recap: Senior Prom, What is a "Graduation Table", & We Have A Graduate!

It’s been a while! But I’m back!

I thought about jumping back on the blog and just adding new content, but quickly decided that I should probably give you guys a recap of what’s been going on. To start, Josiah and my husband caught COVID (you can read more about that here). And, we did some traveling.

This blog is the start of my summer recap series where I will quickly fill you in on what’s been going on. Enjoy!

May was an extremely busy month. Just weeks after quarantine we joined my family to celebrate my little sisters’ prom and senior graduation. We arrived at my parent’s house on a Wednesday and spent the remainder of the week scrambling to prepare for my sister’s prom send-off. It was quite the affair.

Seriously, I remember my prom and it lacked the pomp and circumstance that this new generation proms have, and for that I am thankful. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful send-off and my sister was a show stopper in her custom rose gold gown.

Once prom and her send-off were complete, the next task was prepping for graduation. I thought graduation prep was going to be a simple process. I thought wrong. Up until my sister’s graduation, I’d never heard of a graduation table before, but apparently, it’s a thing. You take a table and you decorate it in a way that memorializes the affair. Of course, I ended up being tasked with helping to put the graduation table together and if I am being completely honest, it turned out amazing.

Once we had the graduation table set up, our next affair was graduation! My sister graduated from Trinity Christian School and was a part of the last class to graduate from Trinity Christian (they changed the name and went public). It was a beautiful ceremony and lots of tears were shed.

Congratulations to the Class of 2021 and all the best on your future endeavors!

See you on the next blog!
