Raising Siah Month Eight

Siah turned eight months on July 7th and all I can think is where has the time gone? It feels like just yesterday he was napping more, staying in the exact spot I left him, and his head was bobbing back and forth as he tried so desperately to hold it up. The last time I updated you, Siah had just turned four months old and had started to roll over on his own. Not long after that, he began pulling himself up on his hands and knees and rocking back forth, by six months he was officially on the move crawling as much as he could for as long as his little body would allow him. He'd also begun to pull himself up to stand, which I initially tried to keep him from doing because I felt like his legs weren't strong enough, but the more I resisted the more he did it so I eventually gave up. When I last updated you Siah had also begun eating freshly pureed fruits and veggies. I'm happy to say that he's now eating pureed fruits and veggies and chopped or bite-sized fruits and veggies because quite a few of his teeth have broken through and he likes to feed himself while also making a mess.

Siah is busier than ever now at eight months. I literally can not leave him alone more than five seconds unless he's sitting in a chair without him getting into something he has no business getting into. He's babbling and yelling mostly yelling at the top of his little lungs. He's also sidestepping and standing for at least 15-30 seconds by himself sometimes.  I'm amazed at how fast he has grown over the last eight months and even more amazed at how much more he will grow. I can already see myself showing him pictures and videos of himself as a baby when he gets older.

Mommahood so far

I love being a mom! Is it tough sometimes? Yes. But only in the sense that I am trying to find the balance between dream conquering, being a mom, and sleeping lol but at this point, I've concluded that my sleep may have to be sacrificed. Josiah demands a lot of attention which I have no problem giving him, and I have a lot of things I want to accomplish so what I've been working on lately is managing my time so that I can give him everything he wants and needs while also tackling my work and dreams. I've kind of gotten into a schedule over the last two weeks to really help me with my time management and it's been working so far but I'm afraid it's about to be interrupted soon. Siah and I will be moving to a new state finally next weekend, so our lives will be changing drastically. I'll officially be on my own as a mom with my husband without the help of my family and I'll finally be able to get my daily schedule somewhat set in stone.

I know this blog is rather short but I just wanted to give you guys a quick update as to what's happening in our lives right now.

I have some great content coming for you all once we are all settled in our new home! Please subscribe for updates.
